Letter to families

Dear Owl Families,

Welcome to the owl class! I am so happy that you have entrusted your child's early school experience to Inland Preschool and to me. I also look forward to getting to work with you as parents in my classroom.

I want to start off telling you a little bit about myself and my family. My name is Charlee Pensak, but please address me as Ms. Charlee. I am 35 years old and I am married to Bradley Pensak we have been married for 13 years and together for 18. He works a technical planning manager for Edison. Together we have 2 children Breven is 10 and in 5th grade he is a competitive swimmer and has a love of music and comedy. Aubree is 7 and in the 2nd grade she is also a swimmer she loves to sing and create art. We also have a 13 year old English spring spaniel named Holly who is my spoiled puppy dog. My parents are a huge part of our lives I have a great appreciation for grandparents and family. My parents retired and help me with my kids so I could go back to work and they help me with my kids as needed.

I have a double associates in Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences with over 20 units in Early Childhood Development from MSJC. I have worked with early childhood aged children since high school in different ways. I took early childhood classes in high school, taught Sunday school, volunteered as a dance assistant, and a classroom assistant, I have also worked in social work and juvenile probation. Preschool was always my first love.

In 2010 my daughter started at Inland Preschool and I loved the program and the play based environment so much that I mentioned my background in early childhood and was offered a position as a teachers aide. Through the years I have worked in several positions and classrooms and now is my second year as a teacher in the Owl class. I love play based learning I like exploring, getting messy, having fun, and enjoying the education process.

In my spare time I like crafting, knitting, cycling, and swimming. I volunteer in my children's classrooms, and I also volunteer as a swim coach for their team with the youngest new swimmers. I love to cook and because of my daughter's food sensitivities, and my son's health issues I spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking and working on new ideas and recipes for things that my family can enjoy.

I am here if you ever have a question or concern please feel free to talk to me before school, after school, email or even a note. I am here to help you as we all share the same goal for our children to have a great school experience. My email is charlee.ips@gmail.com . You can subscribe to this blog to keep up to date on what's happening in class. Also I do send emails to you every now and then so please watch for those and if your email has changed please alert me and the office so I can make those changes and keep you up to date as best I can.

 With Love,
Ms. Charlee
